At the center of 5th & Broadway is the

National Museum of African American Music.  As the only museum in the nation with a dedicated focus on the impact of African American music, NMAAM will strengthen and diversify the “Music City” brand with compelling connections to both local and national music distinctions.  Additionally, Nashville is a place where significant African American music events and artists thrived.  The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles, and Little Richard are just a few of the pioneering artists who were a part of the Nashville music scene in the early stages of their career.

5th & Broadway is also a fantastic stop for free time and lunch in the downtown area.  The dining options are almost endless and include cuisine such as Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Shake Shack, Slim and Husky’s, Steamboys Chinese comfort food, Edley’s BBQ, just to name a few.  Looking to shop and get a light snack?  5th & Broadway has you covered.  Browse Ariat for a new pair of boots, hop over to Ray Ban to peruse sunglasses, stop into Elixr for a delicious coffee or grab a treat at Le Macaron.  Another great plus is that you can walk a few short blocks and enjoy the music and atmosphere of Honky Tonk Row.
